#078 THE WISE MAN AND THE JOKE

Image
Many people visit a wise man complaining about the same problems over and over again, he had to hear same issues every day, problems about family, money, etc. One day, he decided to get them together and instead of listening to the complaints, tell them a joke and they all roared with laughter, everyone cracked up laughing. After a few minutes, he told them the same joke and only a few of them laugh. Then he told the same joke for a third time, but there were only a couple who smiled,  Finally, he did it again but no one laughed or smiled anymore, nobody reacted. The wise man smiled and said: “You can’t laugh at the same joke over and over. So why are you always crying about the same problem? W hat are you getting from continuing to complain about the same problem?” Moral of the story:  Worrying won’t solve your problems, it’ll just waste your time and energy.  You’re not going to get anywhere if you keep complaining about the same problem but do nothing to fix it. Don’t waste

Image
THE SUITCASE  A man died, when he realized it, he saw God coming closer with a suitcase in his hand. God said: Alright son it's time to go. Surprised the man responded: Now? So soon? I had a lot of plans… I’m sorry but it's time to go. What do you have in that suitcase? the man asked. God answered: Your belongings. My belongings? you mean my things, my clothes, my money? God answered: Those things were not yours they belonged to the earth. Is it my memories? the man asked. God answered: those never belonged to you they belonged to Time Is it my talents? God answered: those were never yours they belonged to the circumstances. Is it my friends and family? God answered: I’m sorry they were never yours they belonged to the path. Is it my wife and son? God answered: They were never yours they belonged to your heart. Is it my body? God answered: that was never yours it belonged to the dust. Is it my soul? God answered: No, that

#076 THE OLD WISE MAN AND THE BIRD

Image
High in the Himalayan mountains lived a wise old man. Periodically, he ventured down into the local village where with his knowledge and special talent he could tell the villagers the content in their pockets, boxes, bags and even minds. A few boys from the village decided to discredit his special abilities and the smartest of the group was driven by a single desire - to expose the wise man as a fool. The smart boy came up with the idea to capture a bird and hide it in his hands. He knew of course, the wise old man would know the object in his hands was a bird, so the boy devised a plan. Knowing the wise old man would correctly state the object in his hands was a bird, the boy would ask him if the bird was alive or dead. If the old wise man said the bird was alive, the boy would crush the bird in his hands, so that  when he open his hands the bird would be dead; if the wise man said the bird was dead, the boy would open his hands and let the bird fly free back into the forest. #075 THE SHARK AND THE BAIT FISH

Image
Have you ever wondered what is stopping you from doing something that you truly want or getting something that you have always wanted to have? What is holding you back from making a move and starting to make your way to your goals? How many excuses do you still have to tell yourself just so you could feel better about not taking that big leap? During a research experiment a marine biologist placed a shark into a large holding tank and then released several small bait fish into the tank. As you would expect, the shark quickly swam around the tank, attacked and ate the smaller fish. The marine biologist then inserted a strong piece of clear fiberglass into the tank, creating two separate partitions. She then put the shark on one side of the fiberglass and a new set of bait fish on the other. Again, the shark quickly attacked. This time, however, the shark slammed into the fiberglass divider and bounced off.  Undeterred, the shark kept repeating this behavior every few minutes

#074 THE TWO FRIENDS AND THE BEAR

Image
Vijay and Raju were friends. One day while on holiday, exploring a forest t hey knew that anything dangerous can happen to them at any time in there. So they promised each other that they would remain united in any case of danger.   Suddenly, they saw a large bear approaching them. Naturally, they were both frightened, so Raju, who knew how to climb trees, climbed one quickly. He didn’t spare a thought for his friend who had no idea how to climb. Vijay thought for a moment. He had heard that animals don’t attack dead bodies, so he fell to the ground and held his breath. The bear sniffed him,  it smelt in his ears,   thought he was dead, and went on its way slowly be cause the bears do not touch the dead creatures. Raju, after he had climbed down from the tree asked Vijay, “What did  the bear  whisper in your ears?” Vijay replied,  “The bear advised me not to believe a false friend and to  keep away from you.” Moral of the story:  A friend in need is a friend

#073 CONTROL YOUR TEMPER

Image
Do you know someone who has a bad temper? Perhaps you have a bad temper that you wish you didn't have. Can you imagine the damage such a temper can do to you and others?  There once was a little boy who had a very bad temper. One day, bothered by his fits of temper, his father decided to hand him a bag of nails and said that every time the boy lost his temper, he had to hammer a nail into the back fence. On the first day, the boy had driven  37 nails  into that fence. The boy gradually began to  control his temper  over the next few weeks, and the number of nails he was hammering into the fence slowly  dwindled down . He discovered it was easier to control his temper than to hammer those nails into the fence. Finally, the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He proudly told his father the news and his accomplishment so the father suggested that the boy should now pull out a nail every day he kept his temper under control. The days passed and the youn

#072 WHY DO WE SHOUT AT EACH OTHER WHEN ANGRY?

Image
A wise man who was visiting river Ganges to take a bath found a group of family members on the banks, shouting in anger at each other. He turned to his disciples smiled and asked. ‘Why do people shout in anger at each other?’ Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, ‘Because we lose our calm, we shout.’ ‘But, why should you shout when the other person is just next to you? You can as well tell him what you have to say in a soft manner.’ asked the man. Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the other disciples. Finally he explained, . "When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other." "The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance." "What happens when two people fall in love? They don’t shout at each other but talk softly, Because their hearts are very close. The distance between th

#071 A SPECIAL GRADUATION AND HOW TO STOP A BULLY

Image
Many people have been victims of bullies, and others have seen people suffering it but haven't done anything to help the victim and what is worse some people laugh about it. Consequently some people have killed themselves. Sorry about that but it is true. Here I will share two stories cus It's been a long time I haven't posted cus to be honest I have been not only busy but going through hard times, God knows why things happen :) anyway the first story is lovely, and the second maybe some people have a different point of view but remember he is talking about offending other people not necessarily letting people hit you. Enjoy them and comment! This is a touching story about a boy called Kyle and how one kind action can change someone’s life. There was a boy called Donovan in high school and one day he saw another boy from his class, called  Kyle , walking home having been in school. Kyle was carrying all his books from school. The boy thought  “Why would he be tak

#070 JUDGEMENT OF SOLOMON

Image
1 Kings 3:16-28   Contemporary English Version (CEV) Solomon Makes a Difficult Decision 16  One day two women came to King Solomon,  17  and one of them said: Your Majesty, this woman and I live in the same house. Not long ago my baby was born at home,  18  and three days later her baby was born. Nobody else was there with us. 19  One night while we were all asleep, she rolled over on her baby, and he died.  20  Then while I was still asleep, she got up and took my son out of my bed. She put him in her bed, then she put her dead baby next to me. 21  In the morning when I got up to feed my son, I saw that he was dead. But when I looked at him in the light, I knew he wasn’t my son. 22  “No!” the other woman shouted. “He was your son. My baby is alive!” “The dead baby is yours,” the first woman yelled. “Mine is alive!” They argued back and forth in front of Solomon,  23  until finally he said, “Both of you say this live baby is yours.  24  Someone bring me a sword.”

#069 A POUND OF BUTTER

Image
This is a really short story but so meaningful... Honesty is the main point here but there are more things hidden which we can get if we analise it carefully. There was a farmer who sold a pound of butter to a baker. One day the baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting the right amount, which he wasn’t. Angry about this, he took the farmer to court. The judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure to weigh the butter. The farmer replied, “Honour, I am primitive. I don’t have a proper measure, but I do have a scale.” The judge asked, “Then how do you weigh the butter?” The farmer replied; “Your Honor, long before the baker started buying butter from me, I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from him. Every day when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale and give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker.” Moral of the story:  In life, you get what you give. Don’t try and cheat others

#068 PLEASE DON'T KILL YOURSELF

Image
First of all I want you to know you are not the first one who have experienced it. Many people have thought about it at least once in life, however please read it. Don't kill yourself today because  if you do, your mother or that one who lives with you will come to your room to wake you up, only to realize that your heart isn't beating. Don't kill yourself today because  that person will hold your cold, dead body. While sobbing uncontrollably with the realization that she will never get to hold you again. Don't kill yourself today because  when they address your death at school, university or work, your best friend or that colleague will be sitting in class or at work, completely frozen and destroyed. Don't kill yourself today because  your best friend or maybe the only person who you once thought loved you will be too sad to do anything for weeks. She will have blamed herself for your suicide, and will ask herself why she couldn't do anything for you. S
